Survivor: Hidden Advantage, Hidden Clue, Hidden Idol
Finally! I wondered how that secret advantage was going to work since Cole never saw it last week. I didn’t know if it was still there or if they removed it because nobody saw it. Lauren found the it in the nails that Cole completely missed last week.
This is an advantage we haven’t seen before and it’s kind of iffy. It’s kind of like those hidden clues where they tell you there’s an idol at the next challenge in a specific place out in the open and you have to try and grab it without being noticed. It’s risky to try and grab it when nobody else is looking. This is similar to that, because she has to take this secret advantage and put it in the urn as though she actually voted. Then she has to take the parchment paper she would normally cast her vote on, roll it up, put it back in her pocket, and take it back to camp. She has to do it all without anyone noticing that she’s pulled anything out of her pocket, that she’s rolled up the parchment vote, and that she’s put that vote back in her pocket. Sneaky!
So Cole finds a clue under the spaghetti at the reward on the plate.
He reads the clue and decides to cover it up with an apron and put the spaghetti on top of the apron.
I’m thinking what a dumb plan, anyone is going to know that they’re not serving spaghetti on an apron, or any kind of cloth, right?… Chrissy doesn’t immediately see this as a problem… I would think it would stick out like a sore thumb! The sauce has bled through on the cloth – it’s just weird to me! lol Anyway, she knows there has to be a clue somewhere and she finally finds it on the plate, under the apron, but, I’m thinking this is an obvious “why are we eating off of an apron?” thing…. Ryan is so smart! He hid the plate – smart!
That was some funny stuff, everybody went diving in for an idol and nobody even knew if it was really there or not. All the while Ryan is standing there with it in his pants and nobody knew!
Okay, Cole’s done some stupid stuff this whole season and I have not felt sorry for him at all. But, I do feel sorry for him that everyone thinks he has the idol.
At Tribal Council Lauren pulled that off flawlessly putting her blank parchment in her shirt and putting the rolled up parchment in the voting urn.
I knew when Desi was still up there towards the end of the immunity challenge that if she took a second competition it was not going to go well for her. She was just too strong on that immunity challenge they were watching her and had she just dropped out earlier they probably would not have had her on their radar as hard as they did. She won last week and almost this week – too much of a threat when you compare her to Joe. He’s a social gamer, at this point, not a physical threat in challenges.
Lots of twists and turns in this episode. What are your thoughts? Should Desi have gone home? Is this game over-affecting Ben in a bad way? I am getting a little worried about him emotionally, for his own sake. It’s a tough game.
