Survivor: Heroes VS Healers VS Hustlers: Ben WINS!
What an epic episode and finale! Let’s dive in!
I think it’s pretty cool that they started the show out like this out on the lot with people playing games and all that kind of stuff, it reminds me (not the games part) of the way they used to do Big Brother (I can’t wait for Celebrity Big Brother to start in February!) when you would start on the parking lot and then move into the house. But, it’s kind of fun to see the behind-the-scenes type stuff!
The remaining finalists are not too bright leaving Ben alone to get himself out of the hole! But, they are going to do it again, they’re going to sit back and watch Ben find another Idol saying there’s not another Idol in the game… smh… they just won’t learn…
I just don’t like how smug Chrissy is all the time, when she thinks she’s on top and she’s going to take someone down – oh that smug smile makes me nuts! It’s one thing being sneaky, it’s one thing being strategic, but she’s always got the smug look on her face and she thinks she’s running the game… I am not sure what game she’s watching.. She’s not running the game and then she becomes annoyed when she finds out she’s not LOL
What would make Chrissy think that she could just walk up to Ben and say “Hey, let’s be friends again…” and he’s so dumb that he’s just gonna fall for it?! It’s just so silly…
I was really rooting for Mike to win on this immunity challenge on this puzzle, but Chrissy won another individual immunity.
I wouldn’t say that I’ve been pulling for Ben up until now, but, this is so hilarious that now I’m pulling for Ben because he’s so on to them and they are so sadly not very good at this… Although I might have been swayed when they pulled out the idol to convince him they found it. I mean it’s a real idol and real paperwork,,, I don’t know how he knew for sure except that he already had the idol. That would be the only thing that would make me question it. Plus, they don’t generally give you an idol at a reward like that – she said she “got it at the reward”, they give you a clue or a different kind of thing, they don’t give an idol generally there. So, yeah, I’m on team Ben now.
Okay, to watch the acting job that Ben is doing at tribal, he totally blew their acting job out of the water. He is killing this! Everybody thinks that he is going home, and that he knows he’s going home, and that he believes that Chrissy has an idol… that was hilarious – their faces are always so astonished!
At this point Mike is who you’d want to take the tribal, because he hasn’t really done any big stuff, and Devon can say that he’s done stuff. He can win challenges from here on out so Devon’s the one you want to send home. However, Chrissy plays with her emotions so we shall see what happens.
How incredibly frustrating this this last immunity challenge is! It’s ridiculous! They are constantly dropping – it seems this challenge goes on forever! OH and Ben getting it right and not dropping any…. except the U is upside down – how heartbreaking… leaving the door open for Chrissy to win another individual immunity challenge and a secret advantage.
Thinking about this advantage before she reads it. I can’t imagine it would be an “advantage” to her, I mean what’s the point? She’s in power… there’s not much left, it has to make her make a play that allows everyone a fair chance to get to the end. At least that’s what I am thinking before she reads it.
Ok, this advantage is pretty cool, she gets to choose 1 person to take with her, sending the other 2 into a fire making challenge. She made the right choice because if she sent Ryan and he can’t make fire she would be sending him home. I think we knew that Ryan was going to get to the end if Chrissy got to the end. As long as Chrissy doesn’t win, I’m okay with Ryan winning, but, I do not want to see Devon win It either. So, she is gonna choose Devon to make fire against Ben.
And of course Surfer Dude laid-back Devon decides to “zen” instead of practicing his fire making skills..
I love Jeff’s line, it made me laugh: “Ben is the only one that wants Ben to win It”.
Good job Ben! I am over the moon – 1 step closer… Devon couldn’t even get a spark. I do have to say he is a good kid. He’s humble MOST OF THE TIME, but, he’s a happy person who doesn’t hold grudges and realizes the chance he’s been given, so good for him.
What a great experience for Ryan being such a super fan, being able to get all the way to the end with a chance of winning. Though I DO hope Ben wins, if he doesn’t I’m okay with Ryan winning, as long as Chrissy doesn’t.
Jeff said that that final challenge that they just did with the fire would be returning in the next season. So, does that mean a fire making and they get to choose who goes with them, or some secret advantage at the very end is going to be always present? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
The Jury’s Turn:
Joe is a great juror, he’s taking into account what other people are saying, and asking if the people on the jury are backing up what is being said about them from the finalists. He’s right, Chrissy and Ben did not play a social game. Ben was constantly looking for the idol once he felt he was in danger. He kind of just took on the fact that he was going to be the one voted out so he had to have an idol to keep himself in the game and then he became a lone wolf. Chrissy she just lorded it over people if she knew that she was in a spot to take them out it’s that smugness it makes me nuts! But Joe’s right neither one of them played a good social game.
Ashley is taking in what Chrissy’s saying Hook Line & Sinker. When she gets home and watches the show and sees the Chrissy couldn’t stand her and wanted her out time after time after time she’s going to feel like an idiot.
Chrissy’s speech was more eloquent (although I felt it needed an American flag waving in the back with some patriotic music playing…it was a bit over the top). I’m not anti-female, but, I am not all girl power every time over everything without looking at any other thing in the room which a lot of people are. I’m afraid that this speech coupled with these women like Ashley who has no idea that Chrissy couldn’t stand her, are just going to girl power this thing to the end when I don’t feel like she played as hard as Ben did. Yes, she won those challenges (when her game was not on the line)…. But she played so emotionally and she whined a lot, and when she was on top she was so smug. Ben was on The Chopping Block for the last 4 weeks and got himself off the block EVERY.TIME! He got himself out of trouble EVERY.TIME. I think either one of the guys are a better choice for this than Chrissy.
I couldn’t be more ecstatic that Ben won!
