Play Too Hard Too Fast.. Go Home First
A group of new Survivors attempt to ‘reverse the curse’ of bad past game decisions. Also, one castaway will be the first to visit Ghost Island, and panic sets in at the first tribal council of the season. Survivor Ghost Island, Season 36, Episodes 1&2, Can You Reverse The Curse, 3/4/2018
There are so many components to this first challenge it’s ridiculous. I think it was smart to forfeit the challenge, because at least you get the fishing kit, I don’t care what they get at this point because it’s not pivotal. Also flint shouldn’t be too much of an issue since whoever goes to tribal will get flint if they don’t have it, yet.
I totally understand the theory of keeping the tribe strong, but, I think I would get rid of Gonzales right away, she’s a bit overbearing and that’s not going to help in the long run. Someone said they could get her out later… That’s what they always say…
I think you have to play things really close to the vest on Survivor and for Gonzalez to sit at tribal council and tell people that things just click in her brain and she can see puzzles and figure them out without any problem at all… That makes her feel like she’s telling them that she’s good it puzzles, but, what would be going through my mind is she’s strategic and we need to get her out before she figures out how to keep us from giving her out.
Gonzalez could not have painted a bigger target on her back walking around during tribal telling everyone how to vote… That’s a little too in your face, and WAY too fast.
They were very smart, they voted out Gonzalez. That was the epitome of playing too fast, too hard, and blowing your entire game up. I don’t know how she thought she was going to get away with that. She made herself look like a threat from the word go.
Jacob is another case of playing too hard, too fast, and will just add too dumb to his, because, he was way too forthcoming with information and way too fast to show that he had an “idol” and way too fast to say that he was going to play it at the first tribal. That was way too much info in the first few seconds of returning from Ghost Island to his tribe.
Then he immediately, without even trying to look for it, said that he left the slip of paper that came with his “idol” at Ghost Island…
I am so glad Donathan was sent to Ghost Island, at least he was safe from the vote. But, I think he would have been safe anyway as Jacob was too much of a wild card and not a good fit for this game, at all.
Ghost Island already has a lot of twists and turns and we’re only 2 episodes in! I think so far the tribes have made the right choices sending Gonzales and Jacob home. They were playing way too fast. This is going to be a twisty season, I can feel it already!
