Here We Go!
The work hard/party harder gang is back for another summer in a brand new weekend house in the Hamptons with some familiar faces and surprising changes. Newly single Lindsay happily passes the “house couple” torch to Kyle and Amanda and two new friends join the group to make the summer family complete. Things get off to a rocky start when room selections occur without everyone’s input and tempers flare even worse when the house kickoff dinner turns ice cold. Then as Stephen prepares to attend Gay Pride back in the city he struggles with a decision to invite Carl for support. Meanwhile, Lindsay enjoys her freedom by having her way with a man on horseback at a polo event, as Lauren and new housemate, Danielle, navigate their complicated feelings about sharing a summer house with their common ex, Carl. Summer House, Season 2, Episode 1, Passing The Torch, Aired 1/22/2018
So, we have to play catch-up, Lindsay and Everett are no longer together, Carl and Lauren are no longer together which is no shock, the shock is that Carl and Stephen aren’t great friends anymore – although it seemed Stephen was always carrying the load of their friendship, and I’m happy to see that Kyle and Amanda have made some headway in their relationship.
After watching The Real Housewives shows for years, every time they go on a trip there is knock-down-drag-out about bedrooms and who gets what room. It seems to be such a big thing that you should have these things planned out ahead of time.
These guys have this whole house, they know what the house is going to look like they’ve gotten pictures, they’ve agreed on the house. That’s when they should agree on the bedrooms. It just makes more sense, there’s a lot of talk leading up to choosing a house, everybody gets an opinion, I mean they picked out the house together so that would be the perfect time to discuss who gets what bedroom. This should not be a fight and Lauren is making silly excuses for why she should get the master. lol
Then they decide to have a brawl before they even get to eat! Carl seems to be the catalyst to all of it. He’s ticked everybody at the table off so far…
It’s cute that Lindsay is passing the torch to Kyle and Amanda.
When you tell a friend you are going to an event to support them and then making the event about you… it’s wrong no matter what the event is.. Carl totally made it all about him and not Stephen when he was supposedly their for him – it’s not about just being a warm body – it’s about being there for your friend and what he needs not what you feel or want. This was Stephen’s day.
Carl’s new catchphrase has set everyone off from the first meal.
