Shark Tank: Dessert Hummus? Who Knew?
I love Shark Tank!
Shark Tank is an American reality television series that premiered on August 9, 2009, on ABC. The show is a franchise of the international format Dragons’ Den, which originated in Japan in 2001. Shark Tank shows aspiring entrepreneur-contestants as they make business presentations to a panel of “shark” investors, who then choose whether to invest.
Shark Tank has been a ratings success in its time slot and has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program four times, in all four years of that category’s existence.
The series was renewed for a ninth season which premiered on October 1, 2017 with a timeslot change from Friday to Sunday night.
I think the reason I love it the most is Mark Cuban. I had never really seen him before then – yeah I know I am in Dallas… But, I LOVE him on the show – he’s kind of like an early years Simon Cowell on American Idol – only with compassion… lol
He tries to help people with constructive criticism and he calls out the ones who are there under false pretenses. I love that.
I also love that they bring in new people, I love to see Ashton Kutcher, Richard Branson (he and Mark had a splash comp in the first episode! lol), and I see Bethenny is going to be on and I am so excited! I love her! I can’t wait to see her and Mark together – that will make for some FUN TV!
This week’s guest was Alex Rodriguez, and I think he held his own.
There were some fun products on – I liked the idea if the Delighted By Dessert Hummus, Hubby and I live on a Keto diet and this sounds great. I also love Mark’s idea about a Dessert Hummus shop. All the other sharks made fun of him, but, I don’t think they know how much the country wants to change their health.
That girl was great! Mark pinned her down and she answered everything he asked perfectly – you could see he couldn’t disagree, and when he said he’d help her she didn’t even have to think twice!
The other products were:
I really thought Barbara was in when she made such a big deal about how quickly and well it worked when she tried it.
The Sharks are right on this one, why not use their name? If it gives them an advantage – so be it! There are thousands out there, so they NEED an advantage. I love that they challenged the Sharks to a game!

This one looks great and I was SHOCKED he went with Kevin instead of A-Rod!
