Project Runway: One Size Does NOT Fit All
This week it’s an Avon challenge. The 5 remaining designers have to create an editorial look inspired by Warrior Women. They went to the boxing ring and met women who have been affected by breast Cancer.
According to Nina Garcia on a previous episode: “To be considered editorial, a look has to be bold in color, in shape, silhouette, and be forward-thinking”
I think Kentaro’s idea of making something that he likes as opposed to something that will look good on his model is probably not a good idea. I think he forgot what Heidi said at the beginning of the competition:
While they’re making their looks, Kentaro’s looks like a fencing outfit..
I really thought when Margarita was first talking about her outfit I could see the whole thing coming together, and it was really a great idea. It was all chaos at the top and then family and love cinched in at the waist and then go out from there. And then she put it together with those two colors and Tim came in… It’s not looking great it’s looking like a costume like Wonder Woman. It’s kind of does go with the theme of this challenge but, the judges wouldn’t let it fly.
Kentaro is trying to suffocate his model with this outfit he is putting over her head.
And he said he has a big head so it should fit his models head. First of all, he does not have a big head.
Second, it doesn’t fit any part of her body… So, he heads back to the drawing board. Had this fit well, it would have been nice, but, his final design looks like he gave up..
I had some real worries about Kenya’s like to begin with but once I saw it on her model while she’s getting it fitted it’s looking way different than I thought it would. I like it.
Brandon’s look is just so weird all the strings and strands, and the hat I don’t see warrior. But, I do love pink.
I was really worried about Ayana stop but actually the whole thing pulled together looks really, really nice.
Margarita’s look doesn’t exactly look like what she first talked about and what I was envisioning she meant. But, Tim likes it!
Kentaro’s final design looks like a cross between a karate suit, a nurse, and a nun.
Kenya’s look really came together after all the problems that she went through she does look powerful she’s a great model.
I knew Tim was going to use his save on Margarita because he liked her outfit and didn’t understand why the judges were so against it.
But, geez why did they not choose Kentaro to go home?! That outfit was a mess…
I think that Brandon will probably win because the judges gave him the win even though there were parts of his design they didn’t like. I felt Kenya should have won.
I think Liris is definitely the top model of the season – she can pull off anything just like Kenya said.
